What is this project?
Our Goals
Welcome to our Chess AI Training platform! Our mission is to create an AI model that learns to play chess exclusively from human player input.
This innovative approach allows the AI to develop its own playing style based on real human strategies rather than pre-programmed algorithms. By playing against our AI, you directly contribute to its learning and evolution.
Kevin Zookski
Frontend Developer & Chess Engine Architect
As the website architect, I'm responsible for everything from the user interface to the chess engine API back-end. My goal is to create an intuitive and engaging platform where players can enjoy chess while contributing to AI development.
My contributions include:
- Designing and implementing the responsive user interface
- Developing the chess engine that powers the game
- Creating the interactive board visualization
- Implementing move validation and game state management
- Ensuring smooth user experience across devices
Brian Waskevich
AI Specialist & Data Scientist
I'm leading the AI development and data processing aspects of the project. My focus is on creating a learning model that can analyze player moves and develop effective chess strategies organically.
My contributions include:
- Designing the AI learning architecture
- Developing data processing pipelines for game analysis
- Creating algorithms to identify patterns in player strategies
- Implementing the reinforcement learning model
- Optimizing the AI's performance and response times
Our Vision
Together, we're building a platform that bridges the gap between human chess expertise and artificial intelligence. Our goal is to create an AI that learns and grows exclusively from player interactions, developing a unique and adaptive playing style.
We believe that there is a wide variety of approaches to AI model development, but not all of them are as well understood. It takes a baby years to learn how to walk and talk, experiencing a wide variety of challenges along the way. Why shouldn't an AI learn in the same manner?
By playing on our platform, you're directly contributing to this exciting research project. We thank you for being part of this journey!
